As soon as the ice is gone for good, sometimes as early as mid-April depending on the region.
Ideally, according to CAA-Québec: open before the water reaches 21 °C (70 °F), to limit algae.
Closing
CAA-Québec calls October the ideal month. Quebec pool retailers advise closing as late as possible, just before the first frost: end of October, or early November in southern Quebec.
The benchmark: water below 10 °C (50 °F), which slows algae and keeps the water clear until spring.
We specialize in in-ground pools: openings, closings, liners, leaks and repairs. For an above-ground pool, give us a call: we will tell you if we can help.
How is the price calculated?
The prices shown are our base prices, in Laval. The further away you are, the higher the travel fee. We confirm the price before the visit.
Do you go to Montreal and the South Shore?
Yes. In Montreal, a travel fee is added. On the South Shore, the fee is higher and appointments are grouped by area, several on the same day.
What is a turnkey opening?
We fully drain the pool, deep-clean it, then refill it with fresh water using your garden hose. Once the pool is full, we come back the same day to start it up.
My pool is losing water. Where do I start?
There are two tests: liner leak detection ($250) and a plumbing pressure test ($350). Describe what you are seeing and we will tell you which one to start with.
When should I close my pool?
CAA-Québec calls October the ideal month. Quebec pool retailers advise waiting until the water is below 10 °C (50 °F), just before the first frost: end of October, or early November in southern Quebec.
Are you available on weekends?
Yes. We work 7 days a week, weekends included.
